Mastering: The Final Touches

Don't Master Your Own Mix.

It's not good practice to master your own mixes. You're too close to the project and you should be. Afterall, this is your baby. Let freash ears hone in on the details.

High-quality audio mastering with a great mastering engineer should always be the final step of your recording project.

Clients typically describe the effect as “bigger,” “louder,” or “fuller.” This is probably the most noticed benefit of mastering, but attaining commercial levels without destroying the musicality of a carefully-crafted mix — that’s the real trick!

That’s where our experience and equipment can really make a difference.

For albums or compilations, proper mastering will also place the songs in context with each other giving it a sense of continuity from one song to the next.

How Do We Manage the Mastering Process?

Mastering can make your mixes sound warmer, sweeter, and more powerful. There's no doubt about that. But how do we make the process smooth?

We accept a multitude of media formats, and we make it easy for you to work with us long distance. We mainly transfer files back and forth through secure options like Dropbox or Google Drive. Visit our FAQ section about questions specifically related to file transfer.

Whatever your delivery preference, we’ll get it back to you in short order, sounding better than ever!

Audio Restoration

Clean Up Audio. Close Your Case.

We have partnered with police, local government officials and lawyers to clean up garbled audio. We have seen cases where a judge allowed recordings to be entered into evidence that were originally too poor to be admissible, even with a transcript!

We do not disclose any information about these clients or their cases! However, we are happy to provide you with other examples that will illustrate the vast improvement our processing can have on your recordings.

Still Have Old Reel-to-Reels?

Restoring old reel-to-reel or your parents' rare vinyl records can serve as a wonderful gift for generations to come.

We are able, with great precision, to restore most recordings to an enjoyable quality, so dig those boxes out of the basement, and put your treasured recordings onto your computer with our help.
